Brody Turns 1

My baby turned 1 on August 10th. He is our angel baby. From the day he came to this world he has been an absolute joy. Brody Jay brought sunshine to our cloudy days and we thank our Heavenly Father for allowing us to be his parents! He is sweet, chubby, cuddly, smiley, stubborn, loving, curious and busy. Oh how I love this boy! Here is a slide show of Brody's first year.

First Day of School

I had 3 this year to help get ready for the first day of school. All of them were excited and could not wait. Emma started Kindergarten, Mason started 3rd grade and Jess started 7th. It's just me and Brody in the mornings and I'm enjoying that time.

Summer 2008

Summer came and went in a flash. Here are some highlights.

The kids and I packed up the van and went to Utah for 2 weeks. First stop was St George to see Emilee and then off to Green River to see my mom.

In Green River we just hung out and let the kids go wild and crazy! We went to the "beach", had sleepovers with cousins, swam at the local KOA pool, rock climbed, and ate fresh fruit and veggies from my mom's garden and orchard till we were sick.

Sunset at the Beach

On our last night in Carlsbad we drove down to the pier to watch the sun set. It was beautiful and we snapped a few pics of our family.

Our trip to the Beach..

In June we went to Carlsbad for a few days and stayed at a 4 star hotel right by the beach (thanks to Priceline). We took the kids to Legoland one day and the rest of the time we relaxed at the beach and by the beautiful pool. The kids had a blast and it was relaxing for Daniel and I as well. Legoland wasn't too busy and the weather was a perfect 70 degrees.

Mason's Baptism

Mason was baptised on July 5th by Daniel. This was such a joyous occasion for our family! How blessed I am to have a worthy husband to baptize our son! My family from Utah came and spent the weekend. What a miracle to watch his spirit grow and blossom through the years. On Sunday he bore his testimony for the first time in Sacrament meeting. It was a great joy to hear all that he has to share. His testimony is a great example to me. Congratulations Mason!

Mason turned 8!

My little big boy turned 8. Where has the time gone? Such a huge milestone for him! It seams like I blinked and he grew up. Mason is our smiling storm. Very passionate about life, which at times can be hard to live with but he is always cracking us up. We love you, son!
