Christmas Eve & Day

We spent Christmas Eve with Daniel's family. We enjoyed good company, way too much food, and lots of gifts.(the kids got soo much!) We didn't get home until after 11pm and the kids were so hyped, they didn't go to sleep till almost midnight. So Santa had a long night. Luckily the kids slept in until 7am, so we did get some sleep. Chistmas day was nice and relaxing. We let the kids tear into their presents, while we kicked back and relaxed.

Here are a few pics to share......

School Christmas Program

Emma and Mason had their Winter Music Festival on the last day of school. Emma sang "Rudolph" and Mason sang "My Favorite Things".(I never thought of this as a Christmas song) They both did wonderful! At the end of the program the whole school sang "Feliz Navidad".

Feeling the Love

This season I found me feeling sorry for myself at times. Why?! I mean it's obvious I have tons of blessings but...well, I think it's easy to get sucked in to the temporal side of things. But as I'm typing this I have a view of my kids outside playing. This is just a little reminder of my blessed life. I truly am thankful for this beautiful weather. I know in other parts of the country people are not as fortunate. I am thankful for my husband who has a secure job with benefits which allows me to stay home and raise our family. I am thankful for my little house which keeps us warm and is bursting at the seems because of the blessings that fill it up. I am thankful for my family and good friends that are there for me and make me laugh. But most of all I am thankful for a loving Savior, who knows ME, and has a hand in all things in my life. He know my wishes and wants but always blesses me with what I NEED. And for that I am thankful for....for Him helping me put things into perspective.

Pinewood Derby

This was Mason's first year building his pinewood derby car. Daniel and Mason had a lot of fun in the process. It's definitely a learning experience on what you should and shouldn't do. Mason had a blast and his car took 3rd. Way to go Mason!

Emma turned 5

Our Emma turned 5 November 7! She is as girly as she is tough. She loves anything pink but is not afraid to get down and dirty when playing soccer. She is very loving and smothers her brothers with lots of affection.(sometimes too much) She loves to sing and dance, making up her own songs and lyrics while dancing around the house in a tutu. She is my big helper in the kitchen and a joy in our lives.
