On the farm.....

Mason had a field trip to Amy's Farm in Ontario and I was able to go too! We had so much fun with all the baby animals. They got to feed calves with big bottles, hold baby chicks, feed the pigs and the petting zoo had baby goats just born the night before! I really enjoyed spending time with just Mason and I. Something I haven't been able to do in a while. The kids had a blast with all the hands on they got to do with the animals. What a lively bunch they were and I give kuddos to their teachers who have the energy for them everyday!

Brody and his new friend!

So Brody has discovered a new little friend called his reflection. Daniel took some really cute pictures of him smiling at the cute baby in the mirror. Everytime I pass a mirror he smiles and giggles. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I am cherishing every milestone for I know all too well how fast time goes by. He is my little "peacemaker"(that's what my mom called him when he was just a few days old). He truely is. He has brought such joy in our lives these past few months when we really had nothing to smile about at times. I know he has many great things in store for him!

Emma the Busy Body

Smiling for the camera

the aftermath....not to bad

So...Emma is such a busy girl. I'm just not used to this. Mason was very content to go about his own business. Not the case with Miss Emma Lynn. She is forever wanting to know where am I going, what am I doing? So this leads up to what happens next. Emma comes in to me after I thought she was playing quietly in her room. Hence the word "quiet". I should have known right there it was trouble brewing. You can see from the pictures exactely what happened. She says in her sweet little voice, "Mommy, I put chapstick on!" My first thought was if her face looks like this what does my bathroom look like? It was hard to get angry when by looking at her face you could tell she tried really hard to put it where it belonged. I'm glad I can laugh at times like this. I guess she just wants to me like her mama. (tear)

Way to go Mason!

Getting his award!

Emma being sweet
Brody not very happy to be outside this early!

Mason was nominated for student of the month in December. He is such a good student and is way above grade level in all subjects. His teacher says he is a joy to have in class and is a great example to the other kids. This makes us very proud to know what we are doing is working.......(I'd like to take a little credit)and that he is at least well behaved when we're NOT around. phheww!

My first blog....

So here we go. I thought I'd share my new hairdo. I went short again! I can't seem to grow it out. When my hair reaches a certain length, it drives me bonkers! Anyhow....here it is. I'm liking it, especially the 10 minutes it takes to style.
